According to research by the Rand Corporation, students lose on average one month of knowledge and skills over the course of a summer, beginning each school year a month behind where they ended the previous year. To help remedy this, St. George’s students are expected to practice prerequisite skills during the summer to keep these skills fresh. This work is not a lesson, and students should find the material to be a review. The skills practiced over the summer are considered vital to success in the upcoming course. While these study guides will not be evaluated for accuracy or completion, students are strongly encouraged to complete them as students will be assessed on the skills and knowledge covered by the study guides during the first week of school.
*As Introduction to Statistics and Exploring Math Mysteries are a spring semester class, there are no summer study guides.
