After an extensive national search, we are very excited to announce Kayleigh Pearson as our Varsity Girls Lacrosse Head Coach.
Coach Pearson brings the perfect combination of solid player experience, impressive coaching credentials, a genuine interest in mentoring girls and a desire to share her passion for the sport. She personifies the St. George's approach to coaching, which focuses on sportsmanship, leadership, determination and commitment.
Serving most recently as co-coach of the Signal Mountain Lacrosse program in Chattanooga, Coach Pearson played midfielder and served as team captain at Nazareth College of Rochester from 2009-2013, competing in the Division III Empire 8 Conference and in the E8 Final Four. "I was drawn to St. George's because of the strong sense of community and commitment to the school. Lacrosse is growing in this area, and I am very excited to share my love of the sport with girls who have found love for it as well."
Coach Pearson has a B.S. in biology from Nazareth College of Rochester and has worked as an IT specialist, most recently for Gant Systems in Memphis.
We hope you share in our excitement in welcoming Coach Pearson. The future of Gryphon Girls Lacrosse is strong, and we look forward to a great season this spring!
