Carson’s Corner was formed to honor the life and legacy of Carson Head, a member of the St. George’s Class of 2024 who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in March 2014, one day before her eighth birthday. Throughout her 16-month treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Carson fought with a bravery far beyond her years, never losing the spunk and one-of-a-kind spirit for which she was known. Carson’s faith and conviction that she was part of a much larger plan helped comfort her “corner” of family and friends when she quietly passed away in June 2015.
Carson’s Corner will serve as a continuous appreciation in honor of those who supported her family during their time of unplanned crisis, helping to ensure that other families who may face similar situations will be able to continue their children’s education at St. George’s.
