Board of Trustees 2021-2022
The role of the St. George's Board of Trustees is to lead the school strategically to ensure the viability of its mission and the school’s overall sustainability. Our Board of Trustees is responsible for working with the school’s administration to develop policies and make essential decisions by which our school's three campuses, located in Memphis, Germantown and Collierville, are governed and guided.
Timothy Gibson
Ex-Officio, Head of School
Timothy Gibson is in his 11th year at St. George’s Independent School, where he has served as the Assistant Head of School for Educational Access and Director of College Guidance and Student Life. Prior to coming to St. George’s, he spent eight years in college admissions at Rhodes College. Timothy has also worked in Multicultural Affairs, Student Activities and Greek Life. As an advocate for students beyond St. George’s, Timothy has served on the Board of Directors for the Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) and was the coordinator of the Greater Memphis National College Fair for many years.
In 2013, Timothy was recognized by CTCL as a "Counselor That Changes Lives," an award given to those whose dedication to the college counseling profession reflects the CTCL ideals: helping students frame their search beyond the ratings and rankings to find a college that provides the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life. Timothy is passionate about helping students inside and outside of the classroom.
