The role of the St. George's Board of Trustees is to lead the school strategically to ensure the viability of its mission and the school’s overall sustainability. Our Board of Trustees is responsible for working with the school’s administration to develop policies and make essential decisions by which our school's three campuses, located in Memphis, Germantown and Collierville, are governed and guided.
Scott Murphy is Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development for AutoZone, where he has served on the CEO Team since 2007. Prior to joining AutoZone in 2003, Mr. Murphy was Vice President and Controller for ResortQuest International and began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen. He has a B.B.A. in accounting from Millsaps College and a M.B.A. from Christian Brothers University. Mr. Murphy previously was a board member of Lifeblood for five years, where he served on the executive, audit and strategic planning committees and as a board member of the Exchange Club Family Center for ten years, holding multiple terms as treasurer and secretary. Mr. Murphy and his family are active members of St. Patrick Presbyterian Church where he has served on the finance committee and as an elementary Sunday school teacher. Mr. Murphy and his wife, Martha, are residents of Collierville and have three children, Maggie ’19, Mac ’22 and Mary Alice ’23.
