How did St. George’s prepare you for college, career, and life?
I can’t put it into words but the fact that St. George’s community was more like a family really molded into who I am today. My St. George's friends are still my best friends to this day. I love that St. George’s values creativity, making it a pillar of education. We were encouraged to think deeper and outside the box. That is something that was instilled in me. I was definitely prepared for a college curriculum and that helped me feel more comfortable being away from home in a new place. A perfect example would be feeling comfortable presenting in front of class or knowing what MLA format was when no one else did in freshman English class!
In what activities/sports/clubs, etc., were you involved while at St. George’s?
Recycling club, Golf, Pom Squad, Softball, and socializing!
Which teacher had the greatest impact on you and why?
Mrs. Williams, 2nd Grade. She was my first teacher at St. George's and that was a big year for me.
What is your favorite St. George’s memory?
5th Grade Cave Trip & all of senior year!
What advice would you give to St. George’s students or young alumni today?
Give everything your all and ask questions! There’s great teachers and a support system there for you.
