What year did you graduate from St. George’s?
2008
Where did you attend college?
University of Tennessee – Knoxville
Where do you live and what is your profession?
Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. I'm an Engineer.
How did St. George’s prepare you for college, career, and life?
I think St. George's prepared me to be more conscious of others. The size of the community being so small encourages you to get to know other people. Also, due to the small size I was able to routinely be put in leadership positions, which have set me up well in my career leading people.
In what activities/sports/clubs, etc., were you involved while at St. George’s?
I played football, basketball and baseball.
Which teacher had the greatest impact on you and why?
I would have to say Coach Netherland. He taught me how to put in the work necessary to be successful and reach a goal. His philosophy on how to deal with authority, but to operate with your own style, still resonates with me.
What is your favorite St. George’s memory?
I think the Basketball seasons probably jump out the most. We had an exceptional team. When I was a Sophomore, we used to have several Seniors who were musicians play during before and during our games. I don't think we appreciated it enough in the moment, but these were great times.
What advice would you give to St. George’s students or young alumni today?
Learn another language :-) You never know when you will be living in Europe.
