Gryphon Athletics

SGIS senior, Elizabeth Evans, was just named to the Tennessee Cheerleading Coaches Association All-State Squad. She was one of 16 elite athletes selected from 30 finalists from across the state who competed this past weekend in Manchester, TN. Cheer, dance, and tumbling skills, in addition to academics and community service, all factor in for the honor. Judging consisted of an essay, interview, and skills presentation. The squad will be presented at the TSSAA State Cheerleading Championships in November and will cheer at the All-State football game that will take place in December.
