The Salvation Army contacted Mr. Gorham last week needing help with their "Beat the Heat" campaign, and they needed them at 8:00 on Saturday morning. Several Gryphon football players demonstrated great service and citizenship by volunteering their time and strength by helping load air conditioners to be distributed to needy Memphians. (PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Heat Index Policy of 104, we may have to adjust the times of practices. We will let you know later in the summer. Please hydrate before, during, and after each practice with water)
***Due to new rules established by TSSAA regarding heat index, times for practices may change according to the projected temperature/heat index. We will make every effort to communicate those changes as needed. Every field will be equipped with a heat index psychrometer to monitor the temperature/heat index while athletes are outside.
