ABOUT ART SHOW

Each year, St. George's hosts an exhibit and fine art sale featuring local and regional artists. Hundreds of pieces of artwork are on display and are available for purchase by St. George's families and the public. It is a great opportunity for artists to introduce their work to a large number of serious collectors of fine art, as well as those who are just beginning to learn about important regional artists. Artists are able to sell their pieces, and a percentage (30%) of the proceeds goes to the St. George's Arts Alliance to enhance the arts programs of all three campuses of St. George's Independent School.

More than sixty national and regional artists will display and sell a variety of original art including sculpture, photography, and paintings. All artwork will be on display the week of October 31 - November 4 (8:00am - 4:00pm) so that parents, friends, and designers can preview the works of art prior to opening night.

Arts Alliance funds have secured the purchases of portable sound systems, musical instruments, a 25-piece rhythm band instrument set, art supplies (watercolors, tracing pads, sketchbooks, clay, etc.), drum-line, mat cutters, and matting supplies to showcase student artwork, and have provided for visiting artists on our campuses.
