The use of technology at St. George's, Collierville is seamlessly
integrated into the instructional process. Students and faculty use
laptop computers in a wireless environment, and both teaching and
learning have been transformed with this educational model. St.
George's Collierville is a dual platform campus utilizing both types
of systems successfully.
The focus of our academic program is
on the interdisciplinary model of instruction, and the technology that
is present on the Collierville campus provides a framework of support
for developing students to become lifelong learners. On campus, we have
a videoconferencing system, a video distribution system, interactive
whiteboards, and other technology tools to support teaching and
learning. With the utilization of the opportunities that are available
for students at St. George's, we engage our students with
authentic, real-world educational opportunities that promote collaboration, project–based learning, global experiences, and digital literacy.
The utilization of technology
provides students with a wealth of resources for their academic
studies. Technology provides experiences that will prepare students for
both college and the workplace. At St. George's, it is our goal to give
students experiences that will guide each of them to a successful
future in the 21st century...a future that involves project-based, collaborative activities
in a global framework.
